North American Power & Controls, Inc was founded in 1987.

Our business is dealing with all aspects of continuous duty, standby, and emergency generators. We design, build, maintain and repair entire systems as well as all subsystems. Our control systems can meet the most stringent quality standards or the most customized applications.

Catalytic converter and/or particulate filter retrofits are becoming a growing part of our business.

We build portable generators, permanent generator installations, custom exhaust systems, control panels, generator tap boxes, fuel filtration assemblies– if it involves generators, we’re on it!

We hold California Contractors license number 662686 for the following disciplines:

We’re a UL listed panel fabrication shop.

We also hold an ICC Underground Storage Tank inspector– number 8045718-UI- this certification is now required in California to install underground fuel storage tanks.

Our staff is certified Level IV ( the highest level) for the Veeder Root TLS leak detection systems. Thus, we are qualified to install, start-up and maintain fuel leak detection systems while maintaining the full manufacturer’s warranty.

We offer preventative maintenance services for all makes and models of generators.

We provide rental generators throughout the SF Bay Area and Silicon Valley-hook ‘em up, test ‘em, remove ‘em.

Enclosed stack and cooling air outlet –from the module shown on the right. The exhaust stack is stainless steel with a rain cap. The sound attenuating baffles can be seen within the ‘chimney’- this provides less than 60 dBA at the nearest property line.

Here’s the module housing for the above pictured 1000 kW Caterpillar generator being assembled on site.

Note that all surfaces are galvanized to minimize potential corrosion failures.
